And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’”

Food Pantry Monthly Need Collection: Shampoo

THE FOOD PANTRY SERVES ABOUT 80 PEOPLE PER MONTH

The pantry is staffed by volunteers who procure food, stock shelves, pack bags of groceries, and keep records; while others donate food items on a regular basis.

Some of the food that is distributed comes from the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and is funded through a grant. The pantry also participates in the Federal and State based food programs. Other food must be purchased with donations that the pantry receives.

Other Mission Projects St. Paul’s Ocean Grove Church provides or supports:

Women’s Hospitality Network

The Women’s Hospitality Network, a non-profit group that believes housing is a human right, is providing emergency housing for 12 single women experiencing homelessness in the Asbury Park and Neptune area from December through March.

Each night a different house of worship opens its doors to provide a warm, safe place for these women to stay, as well as a hot dinner and breakfast, all through the dedication of local volunteers.

While food and shelter are both donated, there are other costs associated with the operation of this program – approximately $15 per night, per woman – to cover costs of items such as cots, pillows, blankets, and insurance.

We are offering the opportunity for individuals and families to sponsor the housing of these women, who would otherwise be outside during the cold of winter.

Seaton - Ocean Grove

St. Paul’s Ocean Grove Church provides worship and spiritual services to Seaton Ocean Grove senior living center.

Our resident-focused community provides personalized health and wellness programs, individualized care plans, delicious dining, and daily recreational activities to meet you or your loved one’s needs and care level.

Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association

The mission of the Ocean Grove Camp Meeting Association, rooted in its Methodist Heritage, is to provide opportunities for spiritual birth, growth, and renewal through worship, educational, cultural, and recreational programs for persons of all ages in a Christian seaside setting.

Caring Friends is…

a longtime ministry of the Ocean Grove Church that shows Christ’s love to members of our community by serving them. The specific service Caring Friends provides is rides for persons to doctors’ appointments, shopping trips, and short errands when those persons are unable to do so for themselves. Volunteers are needed to help Caring Friends complete this mission. Can you volunteer as a Phone Coordinator or Driver? Contact Lisa Croasmun or Phil Beachy if you are interested or have questions.
